Opposing Claims; Shotgun vs Rifle

My argument is this: The modern slug gun outfitted with modern sabots in the hands of a competent marksman can and will take game as or more effieciently as any rifle out to 200yards.

I can hold a 5" pattern with my smoothbore Mossberg with Sabots (I know I am not supposed to shoot sabots out of a smooth bore) at 200 yards.

Lets have a poll, which makes the better tool, modern Shotgun versus rifles.

Im going to agree that a shotgun with all the modren attachments can drop or hurt a deer from 200 yards.

Maximum Ride Book Review #3

This book is the last book of the series, and by far the most intense. It starts out as Max and Iggy another character introduced. As they start out again in New York again, they are looking for the factory where they were made. While in New York they find their actual parents. Their parents told them stories of how they were young, and what they did. Come to find out their memory was erased, by the scientist. One night their mom made Max very angry, so she left and everyone went in search of her. They found her on a street corner cold, wet, clothes torn, and bloody. She had been attacked by the erasers. Everyone except her parents go looking for the factory to destroy it. They come up on a building in the middle of no where. Is it the building they have looked for for years? What do they do? Argument: Rifle vs Shotgun

Although the rifle has been around for centuries, the shotgun is not far behind it, but I'm writing on which can drop a deer faster, a shotgun or a rifle. The rifle has a longer range to shoot a deer, but the shotgun has a blast of small Bebe's which from a close distance can drop the deer if hit right. Also the area you are hunting in depends on which gun you chose. If you are hunting in a wooded area then you need a shotgun, if you are using a rifle then  you only have one bullet coming at the deer, but if you use a shotgun you have a better chance because more than one shot at the deer. Now hunting a wide open field then you want a rifle, because if you use the shotgun it spreads out unlike the rifle, also you have the scope and the power to kill it from 300 to 400 yards away, but with a shotgun the distance is about 50 yards. No matter what type of terrain your hunting in there is a gun that you can use.

Assertion: Nap Time

Look everyone is tired, no one gets their regular amounts of sleep they need. We are always told to go to bed early, but some of us can't. If we go to bed early you feel like your missing a lot of your life. Ill admit when I was in pre-school and kindergarten I never wanted to sleep. Now I wish I had half the energy I had back then. I honestly truly miss nap time, to bad we can't have lunch and nap time, o well.

Maximum Ride Book 2 Review

The series continues as Max and the gang are on the run again. Max wakes up from a so called dream and finds herself on the run in New York City. Her little sister Angel starts having these weird visions, were a guy shows up saying that there is no use in hiding from them. They always know where they are. One day Max keeps hearing something beeping and she doesn't know what it is. Max looks in her ear and finds a chip, a tracking device. Should she rip it out? What should she do? Read this book to find out!

Maximum Ride Book 1 Review

I read this whole series and loved it. It starts off when Max, the leader of  five within the group, she gets kidnapped and so do the others. They are mutated into birds and humans, the scientist put wings in their back and give them bird-like qualities. The group are being chased all over the country by erasers, a cross between a man and wolf. They are out to kill the collective unit of five because the are supposedly a science project gone wrong. It is up to Max to save them from the Erasers, can she save them? Read "Maximum Ride the Angle Eperiment"!

My Thoughts of Homecoming Week

Homecoming week, is in my opinion it is one of the most amazing weeks in the entire year. I love everyday that we dress up, because I love dressing up and acting weird without people caring. Not a lot of people dress up, but that just shows they have no spirit at all.

Another reason I love this week is the homecoming game on Friday night. The pep rally that morning always gets me pumped, I love watching us kick some butt. This year the pioneers are going all the way.

The last reason is because I hate the dance. To me it is pointless and boring. After every dance a lot of people go get drunk which is really stupid. I never go to any of the dances because I can't dance and hate asking people.

These are the reasons I hate and love homecoming week.

Persuasive Paragraph

There are many different things we need to do to change the environment. One way to change would be by making better cars for us to drive, as much pollution as cars put in the air we need to cut them down a lot and make them environmentally friendly. We can make cars were the don't run off of gasoline and make them run off of air or something cleaner. Another way we could help is by not polluting the water and stop putting waste products in our water and environment. There are many ways we could help but these are the two I chose.

My Expository Paragraph

When I went to career day at UACCB I went to several different places. I went to teaching, but I was dragged by my friends. I really don't want to be a teacher, but I love kids but i ain't got the patience for kids. I also went to the National Guard. I don't really want to join, but I just wanted more information about it. I love learning about the military and stuff like that. The last place I went was wildlife management. I would love to hunt and work at the same time. I think it would be the most amazing job ever! I would love to have stayed all day to explore new and exciting careers.

My junior year has already flown by. It seems like yesterday was my first day of high school. I love going to school at Batesville, this school is amazing. Everyone told me my junior year would be the best, and so far it is. All my teachers are amazing, but I am ready to kick my senior year off with a bang, go to welding school, get a job. I don't wanna leave my junior year, but ill have too. My junior year has been amazing, I cant wait to see what else is in store!
